I am a graduate of Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1990 with a Diploma in Nursing. I then completed my BSN from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 1997, and then graduate studies in MS from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2009. I have held a variety of positions within nursing. I started my career as a staff nurse on a medical surgical telemetry unit with primary focus on cardiovascular patients. I transitioned into the intensive care arena in 1995, which critical and acute care has been my love ever since, providing care to critically ill patients and their families in a time of stress. I started at MCCN approximately 10 years ago, but still maintain a casual position in the CVICU here at MCW. Here at the college I have been in the undergraduate program in the Acute Care Course, N405, Medical-Surgical Course, N309, also with SDAP at their sophomore level and as Coordinator of the Acute Care N495 course in SDAP, as well as currently faculty in the Fundamentals Course for sophomores N204 and N205.
Faculty at the sophomore and senior level of Undergraduate Baccalaureate Program and senior level Second Degree Accelerated Program, providing theory, clinical and laboratory instructions.
Clinical Faculty Educator with primary responsibility centers on providing orientation to new clinical faculty by giving consistent advice and coaching, providing learning resources, and serving as a mentor.
