Angela Galvan was born in Portland, Oregon. She earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Southern Oregon University, where she was a research assistant for university archives and special collections. After moving to Columbus, Ohio in 2009, Angela worked with the Columbus Metropolitan Library. She is currently a graduate student at Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science.

Beyond her extensive service background, Angela loves the history of medicine and science, dystopian fiction, and her two cats.
