Noreen grew up in Parma, Ohio and came to Columbus to attend Ohio State University. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and worked for several non-profit organizations. In 1999, Noreen enrolled in Kent State University’s School of Library and Information Science in Columbus. She graduated in 2001. While in school, she worked for Westerville Public Library in the Adult Services and Media departments. In addition, Noreen worked at Chemical Abstract Service where she conducted research for the staff. Although she took time off after her son was born, she has kept up her interest in research.

Among Noreen’s passions are books, music and movies, and she has written reviews for the online magazine Suite 101. As for her position at Mount Carmel, "I am excited to assist patrons in all their information needs."
