The Medical Letter offers access to:

  1. The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics: An independent, peer-reviewed, nonprofit publication that offers unbiased critical evaluations of drugs, with special emphasis on new drugs, to physicians and other members of the health professions. It evaluates virtually all new drugs and reviews older drugs when important new information becomes available on their usefulness or adverse effects.

  2. Treatment Guidelines from The Medical Letter: An independent, peer-reviewed, nonprofit publication that offers review articles of drug classes for treatment of common disorders. A typical issue contains recommendations for first choice and alternative drugs with assessments of the drugs' effectiveness, cost and safety.

  3. Adverse Drug Interactions Program: An evidence-based, proprietary database of adverse drug interactions. Searches for interactions between 2 and up to 12 drugs; also includes management recommendations and references that are hyperlinked to the original literature. Updated regularly.

  4. Drugs of Choice and Handbook of Antimicrobial Therapy: These electronic handbooks contain articles that list the drugs of choice, as well as possible alternatives, for treatment of frequently encountered illnesses, such as arthritis, asthma and hypertension, and infectious diseases. Much of the information is presented in easy-to-read charts and tables.

  5. Patient Educations Brochures: Provide your patients with a summary of the treatment options for their condition to eliminate confusion.

  6. CME (online) up to 26 credits per year included.
