Camp Mount Carmel: Healthcare Adventures THE 2010 CAMP IS NOW FULL Camp Mount Carmel Healthcare Adventures is designed for students who’ve expressed interest in healthcare careers, such as nursing, physician practice, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy and/ or other medical professions. One camp will be offered in June for high school students entering grades 9, 10, 11 & 12. The camp fee is $225 ($200 for children/ grandchildren of Mount Carmel employees) which includes snacks, fees and transportation to field trips, a T-shirt and meals. The camp runs from 8:30-3:30 p.m. daily.
Camp includes: - Exciting tours of hospital areas
- Shadowing and learning from various healthcare professionals
- A visit to COSI for the live Surgical Suite
- "Surgical Insights" at Mount Carmel St. Ann's and Mount Carmel New Albany Hospital where students will scrub, gown and learn about OR instruments and techniques
- A visit to community outreach centers
- An end of Camp Celebration at Mount Carmel College of Nursing
