Recognitions and Awards

Twelve nursing faculty and staff members received the 2015 Mount Carmel Excellence in Nursing Awards. Colleagues recognized these individuals for outstanding leadership in advancing nursing education. Ms. Miriam Abbott was recognized for her work with “So We All Thrive,” by the Columbus local schools and community, as an Outstanding Woman Leader in the 26th Annual Women's “Herstory” Celebration, March 2016.

Dr. Kim Campbell received her PhD in Education with specialization in Training and Performance from Capella University (2015, September). Title of dissertation was Diversity in Healthcare: Career Advancement Strategies for Minorities Seeking C-Suite Leadership Roles.

Received the second-place award from the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists for a resource called The Columbus Underground. The award is “Best of Show – Freelance Digital Media” for article entitled, PARCC Standardized Test Series. PARCC refers to the “Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers,” July 2016.
