What inspired you to become a nurse?

I was drawn to nursing because I was really interested in how the human body works. I felt like nurses were really well-respected and knowledgeable professionals that get to truly help people in their time of need.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

Clinicals are my favorite thing about MCCN. I love being able to practice what we learn in the classroom with patients in the hospital environment.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

I hope to work in the ICU after graduation with the goal of going back to school to be a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) one day.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Follow your interests. It’s hard to know what you want to do with the rest of your life. All you can do is explore what you're interested in and see where it takes you.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

It’s never too late to change careers or pursue something new. Time will pass either way so you can stay where you’re at or try something new and see if it works out.
