What inspired you to become a nurse?
As a child, I spent a lot of time in the hospital with my mom whenever she needed emergency care. I was inspired by the way other nurses cared for her when she was in emergency care.
What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?
The best things about Mount Carmel College of Nursing that there is an academic support resource such as the Student Success Center that is available, as well as mental health awareness.
What are your goals for your nursing career?
In terms of my nursing career goals, I hope to complete the program successfully and pass the NCLEX on my first attempt. I want to improve my communication skills, time management skills, and patient care skills. As a nurse, I hope to gain experience.
What advice would you give your younger self?
My advice to my younger self would be to believe in yourself and know that everything happens for a reason. Know that If something didn't stick with you, then know that it wasn't meant for you. Whenever you decide to pursue something in the future, always keep your passion alive.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?
If you're thinking about a nursing career, my advice is to not stress over making mistakes. It's a really rewarding job, so keep an open mind.
