MCCN to Offer Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Degree in Fall 2015

This fall, a new cohort of students will begin working toward taking their dreams to a higher level as they enter MCCN’s new Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

The DNP degree, as described by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), offers nurses a terminal degree program in nursing practice that is an alternative to research-focused doctoral (PhD) programs. MCCN’s program, directed by Penny Marzalik, PhD, APRN, will commence with approximately eight master’s level nurse practitioners who already have extensive clinical experience.

Watch for the April Rapper featuring a Q&A with Dr. Marzalik, who will provide additional details about this exciting new degree.
