Katheryn Fernandez - Advisor
Kathy Fernandez, PhD, RN, CCDC III-E, ICRC, is an associate professor at MCCN, where she teaches gerontology, Advanced Dynamics of nursing, and the first year experience in the BSN program. She is the advisor to ALD and coordinates the freshmen class’ service learning experience. Dr. Fernandez is the Ohio Nurses Association Consultant to the Ohio Student Nurses Association. Dr. Fernandez received her PhD and Master of Science from OSU and her BSN from Wright State University.
Layne Sullivan - President
Layne Sullivan is the President of ALD. She is from Grove City, Ohio and graduated from Grove City High School. She is currently a sophomore at MCCN. She is trying to get more involved in the field of nursing which lead her to MCCN's Student Nurses Association where she is the Membership Director. She is also the Council of School Presidents Director for OSNA. She loves ALD because it allows her to communicate with other scholarly students around the state. She soon wants to be a NICU Nurse.
Alexandria Taylor - Vice President
Alexandria Taylor graduated from Teays Valley High School and is now a sophomore at Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Alexandria is the Vice President of Alpha Lambda Delta. She enjoys meeting and volunteering with other peers from her school and loves how involved ALD is in the community, student life, and with MCCN Alumni. Following graduation Alexandria's dream is to become an OB travel nurse. She is excited to serve ALD members this year and get our charter chapter off to a great start!
Rosemy Varghese - Secretary
Rosemy is from Columbus, Ohio and attended Thomas Worthington High School. She is the secretary for ALD. Rosemy is a sophomore at MCCN and loves the community involvement in ALD. After graduation, Rosemy wants to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Hanan Omar - Treasurer
Hanan is a sophomore at MCCN and loves the fact that first year students are recognized for their academic achievements which is something that is extremely hard to do in nursing school. When Hanan graduates she wants to work as a nurse on a trauma unit.
Marie Finotti - Historian
Marie is from Westerville, Ohio and attended St. Francis Desales High School. Marie is the historian for ALD. She is a sophomore at MCCN. What she loves about ALD is the opportunity to work in the community while representing MCCN. After Marie graduates she wants to work either in the mother infant unit or in pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Jessica Groves - Webmaster
Jessie is from Pickerington, Ohio and graduated from Pickerington North High School in 2015. She is a sophomore at MCCN. Jessie loves that ALD reminds her everyday that all of her hard work in nursing school will pay off in the end! Jessie wants to continue her employment at Nationwide Children's Hospital in the NICU after she graduates from MCCN with her BSN!
Faith Miller - Service Chair
Faith is from Alexandria, Ohio and Graduated from Northridge High School in Johnstown Ohio. Her role in Alpha Lambda Delta is the service chair. She is currently a sophomore at Mount Carmel College of Nursing. One of the things that she loves about ALD is that everyone goes out of their way to help people and to reach out to people in the community. Her future plans in nursing is to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Jordyn Taylor - Editor
Jordyn is from Orient, Ohio and graduated from Teays Valley High School. She is a sophomore at MCCN. Jordyn is the editor for Alpha Lambda Delta. She loves the opportunities and team work that come with being a part of ALD. Jordyn wants to be a Pediatric Nurse after she graduates.
Kiersten Robinson - Membership
Kiersten is from Washington Court House, Ohio where she was homeschooled from Pre-K through high school. She is a sophomore transfer student at MCCN where she currently is serving MCCN’s chapter of ALD as Vice President of Membership. She enjoys being a part of ALD because it motivates her to work hard in pursuing her education and pushes her to achieve academic excellence. Upon graduation, Kiersten plans to become a pediatric nurse and would like to eventually become a ped. nurse practitioner.
