Phil Weider plays with family members at the Mount Carmel Foundation Golf Invitational in memory of his wife, Tammy, who was a nurse and longtime employee of Mount Carmel. The Mount Carmel College of Nursing was benefited with more than $123,000 at the annual golf tourney. The funds go toward scholarships and new technologies. According to school officials, more than 85 percent of their nursing students receive financial aid. Thirty-nine businesses sponsored the invitational, including American Electric Power, Messer Construction, Bailey Cavalieri, Central Ohio Newborn Medicine, Inc., HHA Services, Columbus Cardiology Consultants and Deloitte Center for Health Solutions.
