Is this program available online?

The Nursing Education Graduate Certificate is offered online. The Nursing Administration and Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate are offered only on-site.

How long will it take to complete the program?

Full-time students can complete the program in three to four semesters.

Will I need a computer?

Yes, you will need a computer with personal access to the internet.

Is there a practicum required?

Option to waive the NURS 747 Educator Practicum for the Graduate Certificate student if evidence of professional teaching experience is provided. Certificate would be awarded upon successful completion of NURS 742, 746, 743. The Nurse Practitioner tracks have 650 hours and the Nursing Administration has a 150 hour (2 semester) capstone course.

When do you accept applications to the graduate certificate program?

Admission applications are accepted for Fall Semester, Spring Semester and Summer Session.

When will my application be considered?

Your application can be considered when all of the following information has been provided:

  • Completed application
  • $30 application fee
  • Official transcript(s) from all previous colleges and universities
  • Current resume
  • Goal Statement
