Welcome to Mount Carmel College of Nursing! More than 900 students at our private, Catholic institution are answering their life’s calling to a career in nursing – through our undergraduate program or are taking their calling to a higher level through our Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees.

As a leader in nursing education, we are proud of our student-centered philosophy, focused and engaging curricula, and highly dedicated faculty and staff. Our diverse population of students from all faiths and all walks of life are prepared academically and professionally to serve patients and their families in communities as competent and compassionate professional registered nurses.

In 1990, we transitioned into a College of Nursing, extending our legacy that was established in 1903 by our founders, the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Today, in our 117th year of providing excellence in nursing education in the Catholic tradition, we are building on this legacy through our Journey to Transformation.

This Journey ensures – through research and strategic planning – that our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree remains cutting edge, pursued by our traditional four-year students, as well as through our highly sought Second Degree Accelerated Program and our extremely successful Online RN-BSN Completion Program. As part of our commitment to continual quality improvement, we have enhanced our innovative Graduate Program and now, our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) offers a unique immersion experience that allows students to specialize, to earn evidence-based practice certification and to graduate in just 18 months. MCCN’s affiliation with Trinity Health nationally and Mount Carmel Health System locally offers students advanced clinical learning opportunities at four hospitals and various ambulatory sites throughout central Ohio and beyond.

Our Board of Trustees, alumni, faculty, staff and students are all on this Journey to Transformation, placing laser focus on our defining Vision, Mission and Core Values that continue to guide us into our bright future. We are all forward-facing preparing for increased student demand thanks to our program enrichments and improvements to our physical campuses.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you will pursue your life’s calling in nursing with us.

Sincerely,

Todd F. Ambrosia, DNP, MSN, MBA, FNP-BC, FNAP
