Introducing Interim MCCN President and Academic Dean Kathleen Williamson, PhD, RN

Kathleen Williamson

Kathleen Williamson, PhD, MSN, RN, came to MCCN in January 2019 from Wilson School of Nursing, Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A third-generation nurse, Dr. Williamson earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Wilmington University and her PhD in urban affairs and public policy from the University of Delaware.

Dr. Williamson has served as MCCN academic dean since her arrival at MCCN and will now step into the role of MCCN interim president and academic dean.

“We thank Dr. Brooks for the lessons learned, leadership strategies imparted on us, the coaching, and friendship,” says Dr. Williamson. “We wish her the best as she moves on to her next journey of continuing to inspire others and having a positive impact on everyone she meets.”

As we all say a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Brooks, we know the legacy of the College is in good hands with Dr. Williamson and we are very excited for the future of MCCN under her leadership.
