Professional Board Licensure

The Alabama Board of Nursing requires faculty teaching online nursing courses to students located in Alabama to be licensed in Alabama. Mount Carmel College of Nursing is not able to meet the Board's requirement for online faculty to be licensed in Alabama at this time. Therefore, MCCN is not offering online nursing programs to students located in Alabama.

Alaska

Mount Carmel College of Nursing is not able to meet the Board's requirement for online faculty to be licensed in Arkansas at this time. Therefore, MCCN is not offering online nursing programs to students located in Arkansas.

California

Licensing Agency

The California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education does not regulate out-of-state public institutions. Therefore, Bureau approval for Mount Carmel College of Nursing to offer distance education programs to students located in California is not required.

Colorado Revised Statute 8-40-302 requires students to be covered by workers' compensation insurance while completing an on-ground internship, clinical, or practicum experience.

Professional Board Licensure

Colorado Revised Statute 8-40-302 requires students to be covered by workers' compensation insurance while completing an on-ground clinical experience. Because the programs include a clinical component, Mount Carmel College of Nursing is not enrolling students located in Colorado in the online MS in Nursing or post-graduate certificate (Nursing Education, Nursing Leadership in Clinical Operations or AG-ACNP) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (post-master's DNP) degree programs.

MCCN may offer the online Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree completion (RN-BSN) program to students in Colorado.
