Columbus, OH— Mount Carmel College of Nursing (MCCN) welcomes Andrew J. Ginther, Mayor of Columbus, as speaker at the 2017 Mount Carmel College of Nursing Commencement, to be held Saturday, May 6 at noon at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene.
Columbus native Mayor Ginther was elected the 53rd mayor of Columbus in November 2015. His long history of community service includes serving on the Columbus Board of Education, elected in 2001 and re-elected in 2005. He also served on Columbus City Council from 2007-2015, and became Council president in 2011, a role he held until assuming the Office of Mayor January 1, 2016.
