What inspired you to become a nurse?

I love taking care of people, and I want to spread God's love through my work. I want people to know that nurses do care about them and their wellbeing.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

The teacher-to-student ratio at Mount Carmel College of Nursing is amazing. I get plenty of one-on-one time with each of my professors. It is very apparent that my teachers care about me and my education.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

My main goal for my nursing career is to graduate and work in the labor and delivery unit. I would love to eventually go back to school and become a nurse practitioner.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to stick with it. Initially I didn't go into nursing, and I regret that decision. I didn't think I was smart enough or able to put in the time required, and that is not true.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

I would tell someone to make sure that they are a people-person and are willing to go the extra mile for others. It can get hard, but perseverance is important. There is a finish line. I wouldn't be able to continue my academics without the support of my family and friends!
