What inspired you to become a nurse?

I knew that I wanted to work in health care at a very early age. Initially, I wanted to be a physician, however, life happens, and I had a child at an early age and knew that medicine would no longer be an option. It was then that I looked into nursing and found my calling!

What do you love about teaching?

I love the "light bulb" moments when everything comes together for the student.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

The best thing about MCCN is the amount of focus and attention the college pours into ensuring that every single student is provided a strong educational foundation in which they can continue to build upon and nurture throughout their professional nursing career.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Always trust your gut. It will never steer you wrong. In this profession, trusting my gut in the moment has saved many lives.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

This profession is a passion. If you feel the passion, then you most definitely need to follow it.
