What inspired you to become a nurse?

I have always been interested in promoting health and wellness. As a nurse, I am passionate about patient education and helping patients achieve their own health goals. I always knew I wanted to continue my education to become a family nurse practitioner so that I could have a greater impact on my patients' lives and promote health and wellness across the lifespan.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

The best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing is the level of support every faculty and staff member provides for its students. I feel every one of my professors and clinical instructors is invested in my success.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

My goal is to pursue a fellowship after graduation to further my knowledge and clinical experience as a new graduate nurse practitioner and promote health and wellness in my community. In a few years, I would also love the opportunity to be a mentor or preceptor to other student nurse practitioners.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

The advice I would give to my younger self would be to seek out and take every opportunity to learn and grow both personally and professionally, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

A career in nursing may not always be easy, but it is incredibly rewarding to know that you are making a real impact on your patients' lives each and every day.
