What inspired you to become a nurse?

It feels like retread to say 'I want to help people,' but truly, I enjoy being around people in an environment that lets me help them become better mentally and physically.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

Working at Mount Carmel, the reimbursement is nice, but the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing is the instructors and ease of navigating Canvas. The instructors are amazing, helpful, and always available.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

I’m currently enrolled in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and will graduate in May. I am very excited for the next chapter in my career where I can help people in a new way besides physical ailments.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Honestly, not a thing related to my career. I have been blessed with a very diverse nursing experience. I would have just saved more for retirement the first few years right out of school.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

There are many diverse opportunities through nursing. You will never be stagnant or feel the need to change a career. There is always a home for people.
