What inspired you to become a nurse?

Nursing has always been a part of my life. Coming from a family of nurses, it was in my nature to follow the path. I always enjoyed helping people with their needs, whether it be doing my friend’s makeup for school dances or assisting a patient with a bed bath. One reason I chose nursing is to improve people’s self-image. Growing up I struggled with self-image, and it negatively impacted my self-esteem. I tried so many different solutions to help it. I finally went to see a nurse practitioner that specializes in dermatology, and from there, I knew what I wanted to do. I provide care to help individuals feel and look their best.
