Here’s what’s happening at the library:
Recognizing Graduates: Congratulations and thank you to our graduating work study students Kayla Allison, Florence Smith and Jared Bader. We appreciate all the time and great service you have provided to the library staff and clients alike. Good luck to all of you as you begin your new careers in the nursing field. Congratulations to the whole Class of 2015!
First-Class Service: We want to take a moment to recognize Yuliya Fonin, MCCN junior and work study student, for her exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Here is a quote from a client's e-mail to the library director: "(Yuliya) took the time to read through the entire paper and offered multiple corrections and improvements that added to the overall value of the project." In addition, Yuliya's sharp eye caught the fact that the Library Services link on the students' page of the MCCN site was not working properly. These are two great examples of going the extra mile to make Library Services better. Way to go, Yuliya!
Cristo Rey Students: Thank you to Camryn Alexander, Alex Green, David Slaughter and Tennille Thomas, students of Cristo Rey High School, for their support throughout this academic year. We wish them a happy and healthy summer break!
New Laptops: If you haven't borrowed one in a while, you may be surprised to find that the library has new laptops that run faster and work smoother. The HP ProBooks come fully loaded with Microsoft Office products as well as the Google Chrome browser. Use library laptops for your educational needs; check them out on daily basis.
Update Your Badge Access: Don't forget to renew your 24/7 ID badge access. The deadline for renewal is May 15 for Summer Semester. In order to get this privilege, students are required to submit a form each semester (exception for SDAP students). Remember, this is a privilege and can be revoked at any time.
