Event themes focused on higher education reauthorization, compliance and helping to fund college for underrepresented and first generation students – all timely topics facing higher education today. Dr. Wynd also met with Senators Lamar Alexander and Patty Murray, who are introducing a bill to reduce the compliance burden recently placed on U.S. higher education institutions. Other speakers and guests included Senator Rob Portman, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty and Richard Cordray, director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
