If you’re looking to make your holidays more meaningful and less commercial, Campus Ministry has just the activity for you: Bethlehem on Broad Street. Located just five minutes from MCCN at Broad Street United Methodist Church, 501 E. Broad St., Bethlehem on Broad Street will enlist volunteers to provide food and holiday activities to families in need on Saturday, December 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Some of the activities you can help facilitate include meeting and greeting families, distributing 1200 food boxes to the families and children’s activities like ornament making, face painting, Christmas caroling, jewelry making and handing out Christmas bells.

As one mother said last year, “This is Christmas for my family,” as she and her child received Christmas bell necklaces, had their pictures taken with Santa and listened to Christmas caroling while waiting eagerly for face painting and enjoying cookies and hot chocolate.

If you would like to take part in this mission-centered event, contact Ellen O’Shaughnessy, DMin, director of Campus Ministry, at eoshp@mac.com, eoshaughnessy@mccn.edu or (614) 582-7790.
