Lola Zimmerman, a 1944 graduate of the Mount Carmel School of Nursing, paid a visit to MCCN’s satellite campus at Fairfield Medical Center campus on Wednesday, September 28 for a Lunch and Learn. Students, faculty, staff and fellow alumni gathered to hear Ms. Zimmerman reminisce about her days at “The Mount” where the curfew was 9 p.m. and only dresses and skirts were permitted. Soon after graduation in 1944, Ms. Zimmerman was sent to France where she worked in surgery as an Army nurse during World War II.
