Nickname: My family calls me Sherrie.
Hometown: Baltimore, Ohio
Alma Mater: ADN from Hocking College; BSN from Ohio University; MSN from Indiana Wesleyan.
I can't live without: Chocolate.
If I could spend the day with one person it would be: My husband, Gary.
If I could travel anywhere I would go to: Hawaii. I actually am going this December with friends!
When I have down time, I: Enjoy reading.
My favorite movie is: Pearl Harbor.
The quote I tend to live by is: A scripture that I try to maintain – “Well done my good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
I am a nurse educator because: I started as an educator for childbirth that grew into a deeper love for teaching and from community education to college education.
The best advice I could give to incoming freshmen is: Focus on one thing at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
One thing you may not know about me is: I grew up on a farm.
